JOHN COLTRANE QUARTET - CREATION - VERY RARE FIRST PRESS VINYL IN  NEAR MINT CONDITION

BLUE PARROT RECORDS, CAT NO: AR 700, MATRIX NUMBERS A1/B1

THIS IS A VERY RARE NEAR MINT COPY OF THE CREATION ALBUM, RECORDED IN SAN FRANCISCO AND NEW YORK IN 1964 AND 65, WHEN COLTRANE WAS AT THE HEIGHT OF HIS CREATIVE POWER. IT FEATURES MCCOY TYNER ON PIANO, JIMMY GARRISON ON BASS, AND ELVIN JONES ON DRUMS.

THE VINYL IS IN SUPERB NEAR MINT CONDITION AND WAS PROBABLY UNPLAYED UNTIL TESTED BY US. THE LABELS HAVE NO SPINDLE MARKS AND THE VINYL IS COMPLETELY UNSPOILED.

THE OUTER COVER IS RIGID WITH NO CREASING, SCUFFS OR MARKS. THE SPINE IS INTACT AND COMPLETELY READABLE.

THE INNER SLEEVE IS PLAIN WHITE PAPER.

VERY RARE IN THIS CONDITION AND HIGHLY COLLECTABLE.

Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
