You are bidding on the best conditioned U.S. Mono 1st pressing of Blue Train I have ever seen. It comes from my own Mint Blue Note keepers collection which I will be selling off over the coming month.  The original Blue/White Blue Note labels have the "47 WEST 63rd NYC" text on them and are deep grooved on both sides. The matrix has the correct 1st press "Ear" and RVG stamp. You will probably never see another copy of this iconic LP approaching this kind of condition again!!! Please so not miss it as it is my own best copy in Nr Mint condition, it has barely ever seen the light of day and I do not have anymore, so when this has gone it's gone... Please see below for a full description of the condition! Please note there is no fading or colour loss to either label, any colour differences are purely reflective of the ambient light. Both labels are pristine blue and unfaded.

This vinyl is in stunning immaculate condition!!! The Classic Blue/White centre labels are in superb Near Mint condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! Importantly, I can see NO Spindle alignment lines at all!!! This looks unplayed!!! The gramophone rims containing the all important matrix's are MINT!!!

As described above - the thick & chunky 1st press vinyl itself is in Stunning Nr Mint condition!!! There are NO Hairlines, NO Scratches, NO Groovewear, NO warping, in fact - NO blemishes of any kind - not even paperlines!!! I have to keep reminding myself that I am describing an original Blue Note Mono 1st pressing of "Blue Train" here! here, not one made last week!!! I can say nothing else about this chunky 1st press record - it's absolutely perfect and Near Mint!!! These Mono 1st pressings were straight from the masters and nothing even gets close to them today, especially when you find one in this kind of pristine audio condition! This is the best pressing you will hear and is far, far superior to any later pressings and much more common late 1970's and early 1980's repressings.  Absolutely beautiful!!! The thick quality pressed chunky vinyl looks and feels great (it is very heavy!).

The classic U.S. thick carded front laminated sleeve is ALSO in simply stunning Near Mint condition! It is the best example of a U.S. 1st pressing you will ever see without doubt! It has no faults whatsoever, the laminate is mint and the corners, edges, spine and opening edge are also mint!!! These sleeves, like all original U.S. Blue Note sleeves suffered severe wear and always turn up worn out and really nasty looking with bashed corners and splits etc. This one however is simply pristine, again it was my keepers copy and was protected in a heavy-duty Polythene sleeve from new!!! I can say without hesitation that it will be the best 1st press sleeve you will ever come across, (it is much better than most of the later sleeves!!!)  It retains ALL of its stiff factory pressed box shape and has pristine laminate!!! There are NO Tears, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!!  The reverse white unlaminated side is in pristine white crisp condition, with a solitary small shop postage stamp affixed to the back, which can be easily removed. The corners are super sharp and it has retained 100% of its just pressed box shape (I have tried to show this on the images) It is completely blemish free and you will not find better!!!. This mega rare sleeve easily grades as Nr Mint, it's as simple as that!!!

What's more, this amazing record comes complete with its very rare original Blue Note ads inner sleeve, which is ALSO in Stunning Near Mint condition with no seam splitting or wear, grubbiness etc!!! It has been treated as an insert from new and has never held the record. This is how it will come to you, with the sleeve safely tucked away inside the jacket and the record housed inside a replacement poly-lined inner sleeve.

This is the best complete U.S. Mono 1st pressing of he seminal Blue Train you will ever see, it is pristine and looks to be unplayed. Most will recognise how serious this record is of this record, so you will have to bid high but, believe me, this one is seriously worth pushing the boat out for. Don't miss this one...

I have made this auction private to respect the winners privacy due to the high value of this record.

Postage ... We have absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.

A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up  - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards.  If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...

We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
