Description
TITLE : JOHN COLTRANE - a love supreme LP
LABEL / CAT # : HMV / EMI / CSD.1605 (run out # AS77 A 1G)
COUNTRY / YEAR OF RELEASE : UK / 1965
DESCRIPTION : A rare chance to bid on an original UK STEREO 1st pressing of this landmark mid-'60s deep-jazz classic.
Mono pressings were still far out-selling Stereo in the mid-'60s, so this STEREO press from 1965 is therefore much rarer and harder to find.
The legendary band line-up includes: JIMMY GARRISON (bass), McCOY TYNER (piano), ELVIN JONES (drums). An Essential jazz rarity! ....ORIGINAL UK PRESSING
TRACKLIST:
A-Side: part I (acknowledgement) / part II (resolution) B-Side: part III (pursuance) / part IV (psalm)
CONDITION : Vinyl: EXCELLENT-/*VG+ (a few light superficial surface marks / scuffs & minor typical hairlines only. Plays through very well with clear sound and only a little typical crackle / surface noise in quiet places. No skips or major 'clicks'. *Would possibly go up a play grade if cleaned with a professional machine?) In Laminated picture sleeve: EXCELLENT/VG++ (light edge wear near opening & a few minor creases on laminate near the spine. mostly clean with no writing or stains etc - see image)
