WE ARE SELLING OUR RECORD COLLECTION AND WE HAVE SOME PRETTY TERRIFIC MUSIC FOR YOU!
This is an remarkable record by JOHN COLTRANE. The title is Coltrane plays the blues! All the pieces on this set are by Coltrane, and the album is unusual in that the feeling of sameness that could have so easily resulted from the same four men playing six blues has been neatly avoided.
PERSONNEL: JOHN COLTRANE, soprano sax and tenor sax;
McCOY TYNER, piano; STEVE DAVIS, bass; ELVIN JONES, drums.
John Coltrane plays soprano sax on BLUES TO BECHET AND MR. SYMS, and tenor sax on all other selections.
THIS ALBUM WAS RECORDED ON ATLANTA 1382 AND IS A HIGH FIDELITY RECORDING. The Jazz is beautifully bluesy and this LP in VERYGOOD+ condition!
SIDE 1: BLUES TO ELVIN, BLUES TO BECHET, BLUES TO YOU
SIDE 2: MR. DAY, MR. SYMS, MR. KNIGHT
CONDITION: THE FRONT COVER IS VG WITH GOOD GLOSS AND IS NICE AND CLEAN! THE BACK IS NOT QUITE AS NICE WITH SOMERING WEAR WITH SOME DISCOLORATION, BUT THE SPINE AND EDGES ARE VERY NICE.
THE RECORD ITSELF IS IN VG+ CONDITION WITH HIGH GLOSS. THERE ARE A FEW LIGHT LINES WHICH DO NOTHING TO DISTURB THE QUALITY OF THE SOUND. THE LABELS ARE VERY GOOD, TINY SPINDLE DIMPLING AROUND THE HOLE OF THE LABELS.
THIS IS A GREAT JAZZ RECORD. I LIKE TO LISTEN TO THE ALBUMS AS I WRITE THE DESCRIPTIONS AND THE SOUND IS WONDERFUL!

NM: Nearly Mint, but has been played. No visible signs of wear or damage
VG+: Very few signs of handling and still very shiny looking near new but a few tiny scuffs or light scratches from being slipped in and out of jackets
VG: Some wear, scratches and scuffs but nothing that should affect the quality of the sound. There may be some background noise
