RECORD COLLECTORS!
See HOW WE GRADE LP's; learn record jargon (a vocabulary of sorts); so who IS the only journalist that matters?: Rainy Day Records (established 1981) & Crooked Finger Books.

If we don’t earn your positive feedback and 5-star ratings across the board, please contact us so we can make things right.
YOUR SATISFACTION IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY!

This is Prestige Records (PRST 7243):  STANDARD COLTRANE by  JOHN COLTRANE, an original pressing released in 1958.

The jacket has a glossy front surface and flat back surface.  Top seam is cracked almost all the way across and has three pieces of tape supporting (see photo); bottom seam intact and sturdy.  The spine is strong and perfectly blocked with printing dead center.  Front surface is clean showing no outstanding flaws or blemishes.  Back surface shows the three pieces of tape more clearly with writing at top near spine.  Even with flaws noted the cover is sturdy and looks good (EX).  We have housed the jacket within a snug Mylar outer sleeve for the ultimate in protection.   Back cover lists Rudy Van Gelder as engineer, Bob Weinstock as producer, and liner notes by Robert Levin.

The LP is beautiful: appears MINT and plays NEAR MINT and better.   A and B sides of the deep groove label are near perfect showing no spindle marks and no other outstanding flaws or blemishes of any kind.  The playing surface is clean and free from marks of any kind.  The LP plays with only a couple of soft clicks that do not distract from the music; no distortion even at higher volumes and even in the more dynamic passages.  Matrices contain the embedded Van Gelder stamp.  We have housed the record in a MFSL inner sleeve and packaged it apart from its original cover within a plain, heavy-stock jacket.  Both original and plain (black) cover have been contained in box set size Mylar bag with flap closed.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE: We have an $8.00 handling fee which covers a portion of packing materials as well as time spent with Customs paperwork.   We use top-of-the-line packing because your box is traveling a great distance and we want it to arrive intact and undamaged; in addition, Customs paperwork is time consuming.   Please be aware this is one fee per order, that is, if you buy one record it’s $8.00, if you purchase 100 records it’s still just $8.00.   We could use cheaper materials and most sellers do but it’s important to us that you get the record in the same condition as it is when it leaves our hands.  Some say we lose sales because of this fee.   However, if you read our international feedback you find very happy customers -- customers who feel the extra dollars are well spent and come back to buy records from us again!   We appreciate your business and thank you for understanding.
