Description

1980 UK pressed Epic records release (EPC 84083). Comes with the rare original Omnibus 50 page book dated 1979 that is in a pouch on the cover, self titled, it's basically a phone book with all names crossed out with just a "cooper" added at the front of each line but with excellent b&w photos of John on each page (he does great Bob Dylan knockoffs!) photos by Kevin Cummins, Tom Sheehan & Paul Slattery. Lyrics are also over the top of some of the songs/poems (gotta love "psycle sluts"), produced by the legendary Martin Hannett (Joy Division) & Steve Hogarth is on Keyboards a decade before he became their lead singer.   John is a true original, the book alone goes for over 25 pounds on this site quite often. Evidently Chickentown track was "thee" best ending music for the Sopranos ever (not Journey!).

CONDITION: The record is in excellent to near mint condition, the separate Omnibus Press self titled 50 page book (white top edge is clearly visible on the front "in the pouch" is excellent with very minor staining on the left edges on both sides (from slight mildew form the re-gluing of the pouch it looks like, otherwise the heavyweight paper booklet is near mint. Pouch on the cover is taped on the left side with a non staining clear tape (removeable if you wanna try to reglue it back on) & all 4 corner tips got light wear, overall cover is VG to VG+.

All records are BLACK VINYL unless noted & inserts/gate-fold covers/posters/custom inner sleeves will be noted in the description if they are included plus promo & cut-out marks stated if they are there also. I don't believe in hiding stuff & try to note most everything that should matter to buyers. All 12" vinyl on ebay is automatically listed as 33 1/3 rpm & 7" vinyl as 45 rpm (to save time on listing all this stuff) if you need to confirm speed on a specific item please ask & I can go check.
