On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The John Dummer Band (featuring Nick Pickett) called "Blue" LP and is an ORIGINAL 1972 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Spiral' Vertigo label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPS ON THE VERTIGO LABEL AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1972 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS HAS A BRILLIANT CONDITIONED COVER FOR ONCE!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  THIS LP HAS ONE OF THE MOST EASILY DAMAGED COVERS EVER MADE - WITH A GATEFOLD COVER WITH AN AMAZINGLY FRAGILE SERIES OF 'CLOUD SHAPED' DIE CUTS IN THE COVER FRONT.  AND UNLESS THE GREATEST CARE WAS TAKEN - THESE 'DIE-CUTS' WERE VERY EASILY DAMAGED, OR COMPLETELY DESTROYED.  AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHY 99% OF 1ST PRESSINGS THAT EVER TURN UP FOR SALE HAVE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THESE INCREDIBLY FRAGILE 'DIE-CUTS'.  BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!!  AS YOU CAN SEE FROM MY VERY CLOSE UP PICTURES - THE 'DIE-CUTS' ARE COMPLETELY UNDAMAGED, AND THIS IS SOMETHING YOU ALMOST NEVER SEE ON THIS LP!!!!  AND EVEN THOUGH 1 SIDE OF THE RECORD DOES HAVE SOME ISSUES (THOUGH IT STILL PLAYS WELL!) AS I HAVE DETAILED BELOW - THIS LP IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE RAREST VERTIGOs EVER MADE, AND ALMOST NEVER SEEN WITH A COVER WITH COMPLETELY UNDAMAGED 'DIE-CUTS' LIKE THIS ONE HAS!!!!

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1972 UK VERTIGO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'SPIRAL' VERTIGO LABEL, 1ST PRESS VERTIGO INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'DIE-CUT' GATEFOLD COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL UK Vertigo 1st Pressing from 1972 and is in BRILLIANT condition (apart from 1 detail - please see below!)!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 6360 055 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Spiral' Vertigo Label (see picture) and is a UK 1972 Stereo 1st pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  However the vinyl is a tale of 2 halves - though BOTH sides still play VERY well indeed!!!!  The side with the White Vertigo label & tracklisting (Side B) is in absolutely BRILLIANT condition - with NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  This side must EASILY grade Very Good++++ if not better and looks BRILLIANT!!!!  However the side with the full Vertigo logo does have some visible hairline type marks, and some visible scufflines - clearly caused by a careless action at some point in the past.  However - this side actually still plays VERY well indeed, with NO nasty loud cracks or loud pops - and only a few light clicks/pops here or there, though even here, the majority of this side plays with NO clicks AT ALL!!!!  Certainly it plays far better than some of the marks suggest, and many are completely ignored altogether!!!!  And the other side plays SUPERBLY with NO clicks AT ALL!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  The actual sound quality on BOTH sides is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  And apart from some VERY slight low level background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - and barely ANY crackle AT ALL - there is nothing else to report!!!!  The record is impossible to grade normally - or to say that one side must grade Very Good++++ if not better visually & playing - and the other side I will OVERLY strictly grade visually Poor+ (to avoid ANY disappointment) - which is a grade I personally use for a side that still plays fine (NO sticks, NO jumps, NO really loud noises AT ALL!) but has a few marks!!!!  I would guess that most people would EASILY grade this record EX/G for either side, but I prefer to be very VERY strict indeed to avoid ANY problems!!!!  And even the side with a few marks, has the playing grade that is easily approaching VG, and some would say it even exceeds it!!!!  And BOTH sides were still VERY enjoyable to listen to, BOTH sides are still VERY bright & shiny, and as this is one of the ALL TIME RAREST LPs on the Vertigo label (with a BRILLIANT cover!) - I would think very VERY carefully indeed before passing on this LP!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Vertigo Inner Sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition - though it has lost it 'poly-lining'!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press Gatefold 'Die-Cut' Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The cover has NO edgewear, NO spinal wear (with PERFECT side words & only VERY slight fading here!), barely ANY 'touching in' to the edges AT ALL, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), only 1 VERY faint indentation line on the cover back, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, only 1 absolutely TINY 'touched in' mark in the top left corner, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The 'Die-Cuts' are in PERFECT condition - with NO rips, NO tears, NO 'bits missing', NO fraying, and are SUPERBLY flat looking!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the unlaminated inside is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better and is very VERY hard indeed to find like this!!!!  BRILLIANT COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!
