Offered here is the RARE UK First Pressing 1971 JOHN ENTWISTLE (9 October 1944 – 27 June 2002) "Smash Your Head Against the Wall" TRACK Records 2406 005 SUPER ST 33. "Smash Your Head Against the Wall" is the debut solo album by John Entwistle, who was the bassist for English rock band The Who. The album was released on Track Records in the UK and Decca Records in the US, it was the first solo album by any other member of The Who.
The album also features a remake of John Entwistle's written Who live classic "Heaven and Hell" with The Who's on and off roadie Dave "Cyrano" Langston (who had encouraged John Entwistle to make the album) provided some acid-drenched guitar and was even thought to be Pete Townshend under a different name. The UK album differs from the US version. Entwistle remixed "What Are We Doing Here?" and the vocals sound quite different, quite possibly a different vocal track. Note! As of listing date, this appears to be the finest example, and best price, offered for sale on eBay, or the internet!
The condition of the sleeve is Very Good, or better, with obvious ring wear. The Vinyl, with a visual inspection, appears to have had little or no play, and we grade it Near Mint, or better. Shipping note: We remove album from sleeve, and place in a separate plastic sleeve, so the album cover is not dinged during shipping. Plus, we use standard LP mailing boxes, with extra interior bubble wrap to prevent movement or damage during shipment.
