THIS LISTING IS FOR:

JOHN FAHEY

.
PIEDMONT / TAKOMA Records C 1003
Original 1964 issue • MONO LP
B&W PASTE-ON COVER ART • FIRST LABELS
CORRECT "UNION" SEAL (w/"6") on BACK
Cursive "Lss" etched in dead-wax both sides
VINYL is VG+
Extremely clean high gloss vinyl has a few very light small surface hairlines revealed under hard bright light that are almost entirely inaudible. VERY clean, bright, distortion free audio with exceptionally quiet grooves. No background noise, crackle, rustle or groove wear. a few occasional very light tics, mostly at beginning of sides, then super clean sound the rest of the way. No repetitive tics. Audio grade is easily EX or better. Labels are super clean both sides.
.
COVER is VG+
Black pebble-texture stock cover with paste-on b&w wrap-around cover 'slick' (actually, open-tooth, un-slick, thick paper stock) is snapping bright and spanking clean with no wear, creases, writing, dinge or soil. Right side, front has faint moisture stain; very light; back has a couple of small, pea-size blemishes, not very noticeable. All edges straight, all corners sharp. Seams and spine completely intact with no splits.
PLEASE NOTE:
Any Grainy or Mottled appearance in PHOTOS is purely due to my low-light photo conditions.
Photos of Labels, (close-up shots) and Vinyl (camera unable to resolve the grooves properly in low light),
are especially affected. Please know that this is from digital photograph limitations effect only.
Labels are actually extremely clean and smooth with perfectly sharp, crisp text print.
*indeed the 'mottled' effect is such that the above mentioned blemishes (at extreme left edge of back) are almost indistinguishable in photo from the absurd 'topography' that my camera imparts to black or very dark colors; especially on a pebble-texture background.
