I obtained a large collection LPs & 45s from an owner of a radio station. Mostly promos, the 45s - most have either stickers or black wax pencil notes on labels. I have been able to remove the sticker but there are way to many for me to do this to every one. So please check pictures for condition of labels, condition grading below is just for the vinyl not the label. I can remove stickers after auction upon request.

This is the "Thingumybob" on uncut apple side release.

Grading scale: m-, vg++, vg+, vg, vg-, etc.

In September 1968, the band released a single on The Beatles’ Apple Records label. The A-side was an instrumental composed by McCartney & Lennon (not the usual way with the names reversed) called "Thingumybob" (the theme to a Yorkshire Television sitcom of the same name starring Stanley Holloway). The flipside was a brass band instrumental version of another Lennon & McCartney song, "Yellow Submarine". The single was released under the name John Foster & Son Ltd Black Dyke Mills Band, produced by McCartney, and is the first US Apple 45 issued in the US on 26 August, and in the UK as Apple 4 on 6 September. The Black Dyke Mills Band appeared as part of the backing on the original Yellow Submarine single in 1966. In 1979, the Black Dyke Mills Band worked again with McCartney on a track for the Wings album Back to the Egg.

Black Dyke Band, formerly John Foster & Son Black Dyke Mills Band, is one of the oldest and best-known brass bands in the world. The band has won many prizes and competitions over the years. In 2010, the band won the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain for a record 22nd time. They have also won the European Championships a record twelve times, most recently in 2012.
