JOHN HAMMOND LP I CAN TELL a 1967 US STEREO pressing, on the ATLANTIC LABEL. CAT#ATLANTIC 8152. This is a Terre Haute pressing. Hammond had been a major player for just about 60 years. He is amazing, but always seems to fly under the radar. Yes, he was a fortunate son having John Hammond Sr. as his father, the man who signed Bob Dylan to Columbia, and guided Columbia Records in it's heyday. But while the younger John Hammond surely had access, he made it on his own talents. He is largely under-recognized as one of the great guitarists of his time. But while some artists shoot for the stars, Hammond always seemed grounded enough to just enjoy the ride. Robbie Robertson joins him on this LP of great blues covers.
COVER VG+. Has some wear, front is worse than the back (see photos). Has a promo punch hole top left.. Bottom seam and spine are in great shape. The top seam took 2 small hits, where the paper tore, and folded down towards the front cover. The back cover is a beautiful shade of bright white. and has a very small touch of ring wear.
VINYL. NEAR MINT Great playing copy. Really clean, with super clean audio.
