Description

Offered here is a set of four original illustrations by 1950's Blue Note Records art director John Hermansader. They appear to be sketches for Sidney Bechet and Jay Jay Johnson releases on Blue Note. Sizes ranges from 5x7" to 7x10"
John Hermansader was an early art director/designer for Blue Note Records. Working with legendary Jazz photographer/Blue Note co-owner Francis Wolff, he designed some of Blue Note's early iconic cover art. These pieces come from Hermansader's personal Blue Note archive.     Condition:  All show age discoloration and moderate wear from handling. No significant tears. Please see high resolution images.
