Description
This is the original UK LP by JOHN LEE HOOKER, HOUSE OF THE BLUES, 1964 1st Press on the PYE INTERNATIONAL R&B Series label NPL 28042
Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- 1 LP 12042A-1M Side 2:- 1 LP 12042 B-1M
Stamper codes are, Side 1:- H / 1, Side 2:- I / 1
Both Matrix numbers and Stamper codes identify this as a RARE VERY 1ST PRESSING
The original 1964 UK 1st issue Garrod and Lofthouse cover is in EX+ condition, wonderful condition. The cover maintains all it's original bright fresh colour, the glossy thickly laminated front is quite simply beautiful!, WOW!. The solid spine is fully intact, clean and perfectly readable. Their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits. and no sticker marks.
The vinyl is in a Stunning EX+++ condition!!!, gleaming with all it's original 'Just Pressed glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very very carefully!) and the vinyl plays EX+++ / MINT-!. The vinyl plays with stunning crisp clear clarity *, amazing Mono sound!!!! *. The quality of this 1964 UK Mono 1st Pressing is TOP TOP QUALITY!, playing with stunning rich tones, warmth and depth!! A SHEER DELIGHT TO LISTEN TO, GREAT BLUES!, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
