Title: “John Lee Hooker at Newport”
Label: VEE JAY. Label is black with silver text. Monaural pressing on medium weight vinyl. Catalog number is VJLP 1078.
Date: 1964.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is nice VG+ to VG++ with full original gloss, plays closer to VG++. Has been played a small number of times and handled with care. There are several faint marks that produce very soft tics in a couple places, but no loud clicks or pops. Plays very enjoyably with superb fidelity. Labels are clean with no spindle trail marks. A very nice playing copy.
JACKET: Jacket is nice VG++. Front artwork is clean and bright, with some light traces of ring wear. Nice seams and spine. Light wear at corner tips. Reverse is clean with no writing or stickers. Overall a very nice jacket to accompany the beautiful disc.

Review:
“Arguably his finest live date, this was John Lee Hooker minus the self-congratulatory mugging now an almost mandatory part of his sets. Instead, there's just lean, straight, defiant Hooker vocals and minimal, but effective backing.”
