Up for purchase is an incredibly pristine, original early-1960s Stereophonic pressing of John Lee Hooker's legendary compilation "The Best of John Lee Hooker" on Vee-Jay Records (SR 1049). This particular variant is a historical time capsule for audiophiles. It features the coveted stamped "AudioMatrix" plating hallmarks on both sides alongside specific mastering identifiers that trace its production directly to the historic All Disc Records plant in Roselle, New Jersey.
VINYL & JACKET CONDITION:
• Vinyl Grade: Excellent (EX). Impeccable mirror-like gloss with pristine paper labels. Plays with astonishing, deep 1960s tube-audio dynamics and minimal superficial handling.
• Jacket Grade: Very good. Zero major seam splits, crisp spine typography, and deep black cover colors, clean front and back.
• Includes: Original inner sleeve and original cover jacket intact.
EXACT DEADWAX (RUNOUT) MATRIX DETAILS:
• Side A: 62-2492 AudioMatrix sideways 4 V
• Side B: 62-2493 AudioMatrix J A (with faint All Disc tracking serial 716162)
This distinct, asymmetrical matrix configuration proves a 100% authentic early pressing run sourced straight from original master parts, not a later budget reissue. Finding an All Disc contract pressing of this blues staple in this immaculate condition is virtually impossible.
