Description
John Lee Hooker: "Burnin'" 1964, USA/Vee Jay SR-1043. Disc is in beautiful EX to M- shape with just a couple of harmless scuffs, plays like new. The disc is in Stereo, though it has mono labels. The cover has some white showing through the color along the top and bottom seams, and the lower corner tip at the pocket opening is rubbed raw. Very minor wear to the front and rear panels, I think this will be very hard to upgrade! The cover gets an EX grade. Curiously, though it's a Stereo cover, it has a "MONO" sticker on the front. The disc is indeed Stereo. Has a Vee Jay Company inner sleeve. His 1961 album with a backing group made up of piano, bass, drums, and occasional sax, though the "brackets" logo on the labels date this pressing to about 1964. Everything I offer is guaranteed. I try to note any flaws with the disc and the cover so that there are no surprises when the box arrives. If you have any questions, feel free to use the "Ask seller a question" link at the bottom of the page. activegod
I ship all records in strong cardboard mailers with cardboard flats added to increase stability. The discs are always removed from the jackets to prevent seam splits, and all albums are dressed in plastic sleeves for travel. Please be aware that these supplies are expensive to purchase and represent a small portion of my shipping charges. I pack/ship one day per week, usually it is Friday.
