Description

1960 Chess Records 1438, this is an original mono pressing - NOT a reissue - of the incredibly scarce John Lee Hooker LP "House Of The Blues". This pressing has the black Chess labels with the silver print and "deep groove". Cover is about VG+; there is a 3" top right tape repair and a 3" bottom middle tape repair, both done by the original owner with white tape. otherwise, the jacket is in nice shape and still handsome. Vinyl is a shiny VG++/VG+++ as well. There are two small scratches on side 2 that cause a few ticks, along with a few minor paper hairlines and surface marks on either side. Sound quality is solid throughout, while labels are crisp with no spindle wear. First and probably the last original of this one I will come across and, overall, a nice copy of this hard to find blues LP. Buyer pays $6.50 shipping in the US, $13.00 airmail overseas.
