Great sounding reissue 1980s of this classic album
Personnel includes: John Lee Hooker (vocals, guitar); Eddie Kirkland (guitar); Bob Thurman (piano). The sidemen play a truly minimal role here - this is mainly Hooker, his great booming voice, guitar and stomping foot.
Recorded in Detroit, Michigan between 1951-1954. Originally released on Chess (1438).
