Description
For sale is a spiral-bound book containing twelve copies of drawings ( one loose) used for the making of John Lennon's recording studio at Tittenhurst in 1969.
John Lennon and Yoko Ono moved into Tittenhurst in August 1969 and the studio was built later that year . It was in this very studio that John Lennon recorded his legendary " Imagine " in 1971 . When the Lennon's moved to the USA in 1973 , a Ringo Starr purchased the property and renamed the studio " Startling Studio" . The studio no longer exist after being renovated in the late 1970s.
The book contents page list thirteen plans but only twelve exist . This rare and unusual item was auctioned previously by Bonhams auction of London , please paste the following to view ....

The plans were copied off the original drawings and possibly only a handful ever existed . This could quite possibly be the only set left in existence ? They also come with a short letter of provenance stating they were given as a gift from an architect at Mewes and Davis , London.
