Description

You are bidding for my very rare John Lennon – Mind Games test pressing / sample record on 12” vinyl. I believe it was bought by my mum form a jumble sale along with some other LP’s many years ago.

Unfortunately I don’t really know the official LP Vinyl grading system so I’ll do my best to explain / describe the condition:-

Vinyl

The vinyl itself is in very good condition though there is one light surface scratch to Side A (see the last photo). I have played the LP once through to test the sound and to ensure the vinyl played through and the scratch doesn’t appear to have any effect on playback. Other than that the surface of vinyl is in very good / excellent condition to my eye though may benefit from a proper clean.

The vinyl has a blank white label to either side and the matrix YEX 927 imprinted on one side (Side A) and YEX 928 on the other (Side B). The only other markings are a tiny 'KM' to both sides stamped just outside the label in the 6 o'clock position (assuming YEX 927 / YEX 928 are at the 12 o'clock position). 

Sleeve

The sleeve is a plain white cardboard sleeve which has yellowed over time, notably to the edges. There is a white sticker on the front with green print stating “SAMPLE RECORD  NOT FOR RESALE”. There is also PCS 7165 written in the top right corner in black marker pen.

There is a piece of paper with the tracklisting typed / printed on it which was originally taped to the front of the sleeve but had now become detached due to the tape perishing over time. The paper has yellowed with age (please see photos for details)
