After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. Please check out my other listings and remember to save me as a favourite seller, as every week I'll be listing more and more increasingly rare, collectible and desirable Beatles records!
Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for a mega rare original stereo 1st pressing of the John Lennon solo LP 'Two Virgins' on the Apple label!
This LP was the result of a night of musical experimenting with Lennon's home studio. It's an album of background conversation, tape loops and sound effects topped off with a private photo of John and Yoko full frontal naked on the front cover (and the backs of them naked on the rear cover). The cover and sound were so controversial that it took 6 months for John to convince the other band members to have it released as a solo album (even getting a quote from Paul McCartney to be used on the cover) and EMI refused to distribute the album or manufacture the sleeve, and so Track Records distributed it instead with Technick handling the sleeve. EMI did, however, press the record.
The LP absolutely bombed and, back in 1968 it sold in absolutely tiny amounts (only approximately 5,000 or so) and was promptly deleted (the first solo Beatles LP to do so). Today, original copies are incredibly difficult to find!

I've had to insert a little covering to the front of the cover. The cover is holding up okay but is showing some wear and tear. The front has yellowed slightly and has a little disc impression. There's some creasing down the spine and a bubble in the laminate at the top of the spine which has split. There's a little staining at the top right corner and some faded writing that says (I believe) "250 Import". Top and bottom seams are holding okay with no splitting and a little, light wear. The spine has some little creases running through it but hasn't split. The back, like the front, has yellowed and has some light disc impression and a couple of little, light stains. The laminate down the spine edge has bubbled out as I've shown in the photo above. So overall, holding okay, but is showing wear and tear. Inner Sleeve: VG+

The original, fragile black inner sleeve is included and is holding okay (usually these sleeves are found pretty trashed as the paper they were manufactured from was pretty fragile). There's some creasing and light disc impression with a little wear around the opening. The middle of the bottom seam has split in the middle, just under 1". Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG+/EX-

The playing surface has a lovely, crisp, sharp shine to it and has some light scuffing. I can't really see anything heavier. Nice disc!

The labels are looking really crisp and clean! There's a small, weird little mark on the outer edge each label - 2 o'clock on side 1 and 5 o'clock on side 2 - that look like manufacturing anomaly. Both labels have just a couple of light, solitary spindlemarks and just a touch of whitening around the centrehole!

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve. Extra sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable and FRAGILE tape used
