John Lennon & Yoko Ono – Double Fantasy (1980)

Original US First Pressing | Geffen Records – GHS 2001 | Factory Sealed with Hype Sticker

Collector’s Overview & Highlights

• Original Factory Shrink-Wrap: Fully intact, tight, and authentic with factory breathing/ventilation holes visible.

• Original Hit-Singles Hype Sticker: Affixed directly to the outer factory shrink on the front cover, highlighting "Starting Over," "Woman," "Watching The Wheels," and "I'm Losing You" alongside catalog number GHS 2001.

• True 1980 First Issue Jacket: Features the classic, non-barcode rear cover layout with the iconic street portrait of John and Yoko in front of the Dakota.

• No Cut-Out Marks: No promo punch holes, saw cuts, clipped corners, or remainder marks.

• Dead-Flat Lay: The jacket retains excellent structural rigidity without warp or dishing.

Detailed Condition & Visual Inspection

• Vinyl Grading: Mint (M) — Brand new, unplayed, and untouched inside its original 1980 factory seal.

• Jacket Grading: Near Mint (NM-) to Strong EX

  • Front & Back Panels: Extremely clean with deep, rich photographic contrast and vivid typography.

  • Spine & Seams: Fully legible, crisp spine text reading “John Lennon/Yoko Ono - Double Fantasy - Geffen Records GHS 2001”. Seams are straight, solid, and completely un-split beneath the factory wrap.

  • Corners & Edges: Remarkably well-preserved. As visible in the macro edge photos, there is only the faintest whisper of vintage shelf friction/micro-push to the extreme tips typical of shrink-wrapped albums of this era, but corners remain square and structurally rigid.

  • Shrink-Wrap: Intact from seam to seam with no tears across the front artwork.

Shipping & Returns Policy

Professional Packaging

• Secure Handling: Your record will be shipped in a dedicated, heavy-duty cardboard mailer (LP or 45 specific) with extra cardboard stiffeners to prevent bending or crushing.

• Pro-Tip Protection: To prevent seam splits during transit, all opened records are shipped with the vinyl removed from the jacket (housed in its inner sleeve) and placed behind the jacket within a 4mil clear poly outer sleeve. (Note: For this factory-sealed copy, it will be double-boxed/cross-padded to preserve seal integrity in transit).

• 45s: 7" records are shipped with the same level of care in dedicated 7-inch mailers.

Fast & Tracked Shipping

• Handling Time: I ship within 1–2 business days of receiving cleared payment.

• Tracking: A tracking number will be provided immediately upon shipment.

• Combined Shipping: I am happy to combine shipping. Please wait for a revised invoice before paying to receive the discounted rate.

Returns & Satisfaction

• The "Collector’s Guarantee": I use strict Goldmine Grading standards. If you feel the record does not match the description or grading, please contact me directly before leaving feedback. I am a collector first and I value your satisfaction.

• 30-Day Returns: I accept returns within 30 days. The item must be returned in the exact same condition it was received.

• 🚨 CONDITION POLICY: For opened records, returns are accepted if the item is returned in the same condition as sent. Any new scratches, sleeve scuffs, or damage to the jacket incurred while in the buyer's possession will void the full refund. For factory-sealed items, opening or breaking the factory seal voids return eligibility as it alters the condition grade from Mint/Sealed to Used.

• Shipping Costs: Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless there was a significant error in the listing.
