Description
John Lennon's iconic vinyl album "Imagine". This is a 1971 1st press with matrices:
YEX 866 1U PECKO
YEX 865 2U
The vinyl is in VGC+ with only light hairlines from previous play, there are no deep scratches or anything feelable. Both sides played through beautifully. There was some light crackle in places but sound quality was otherwise excellent with no skips or jumps. Side one label has a little age discolouration but otherwise there is no damage - please see photos.
Outer sleeve is VG+ with no major damage. There are minor creases but the laminate is intact and there are no tears or splits, writing or stains. The spine is intact and fully readable. A beautifully preserved copy of this lovely album.
Poster has a few very light age spots mostly on the back of the poster but is in EXCELLENT condition.
Postcard is excellent with no damage.
The lyric inner is in VG condition. There are some creases and two small pen squiggles along one edge. There is also one neat seam split along the bottom edge.
I grade all of my records according to The Record Collector Magazines grading system.
I always test play my records on a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable with Ortofon cartridge stylus unless they are in near mint/ mint condition and appear unplayed but the description will state this. I don't sell records with deep scratches or marks that affect the sound quality and enjoyment.
All of our Vinyl is professionally cleaned using a Pro-Ject VC-S record cleaning machine.
The vinyl is then packaged in a protective anti static sleeve, the whole album placed into a protective outer plastic sleeve and then posted in a robust top of the range custom cardboard record mailer.
