JOHN LENNON IMAGINE – UK LP 1971.

THE SLEEVE

This first issue cover is in super condition its still super bright and super glossy it has very little edge or corner wear just the residue from the glue used in the lamination process. The spine on this cover has the distinctive pleats at either end (flat in the middle) only 1st issue covers have this feature, its also in superb condition with all the titles clearly readable. See photos. The back of the cover is also in stunning condition – bright and glossy with hardly any record impression visible its that good (see photos). The sleeve/cover of this rare record is graded EX+++.

THE VINYL

The vinyl on this copy of John Lennons’ Imagine is just stunning it has no scuffs, hairlines or markings to either side of the vinyl amazing! its just in stunning condition see photo, I always grade vinyl for both sides separate but theres no need there both sides are in mint condition. I will without hesitation grade this incredible condition record MINT.

THE LABELS

This is a pretty straight forward description both the labels on each side are graded MINT condition, there is absolutely no spindle marks or signs of play to these labels, they are totally undamaged with all the titles and info clearly readable see photo. Both labels are graded MINT.

THE EXTRAS The very 1st issues came with the lyrics printed on both sides of the inner sleeve, these inner sleeves were printed on extremely thin paper and would split and tear very easily they also only ever came with the 1st issues, re-issues did not have this inner sleeve (its so delicate I have now placed the vinyl in an other plain inner sleeve for protection) ... This one is UNSPLIT and I’m glad to say in excellent condition its only minus is it has some naturally aging and slight creasing (see photo). Inner Sleeve graded – EX+++/NR MINT

The Postcard with john holding a pig (a dig at McCartney’s Ram LP) is in stunning Mint condition I doubt it left the safety of the record sleeve. Postcard graded without hesitation MINT

The Huge Poster is still pure white and in stunning condition, I doubt this has been out of the sleeve has well. – see photo. The poster is graded MINT MINUS.
