Description
This is a 1971 1st press of John Lennon & The Plastic Ono Band's "Imagine". It comes with its original lyric inner and postcard picture. Fully laminate sleeve with Cat. No. PAS10004. The vinyl has matrices:
YEX 865-1U PECKO
YEX 866-1U PORKY
The vinyl surface is visually in excellent condition with a glossy surface and minimal light hairlines from previous play. Both sides played through beautifully with no jumps or clicks. There was minimal crackle throughout although we noticed track 2 side 2 "Oh My Love" played with a little increased, though not overly excessive crackle - there was otherwise an excellent sound quality throughout. The labels are undamaged.
The outer sleeve is fully laminated and is in VGC due to having no major damage. There are no tears or splits. There are minor ringmarks from storage and light creasing here and there. The spine is perfect and fully readable.
The small picture postcard is undamaged but has a few marks on the reverse.
All in all a lovely copy of an iconic album.
I grade all of my records according to The Record Collector Magazines grading system.
I always test play my records on a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable with Ortofon cartridge stylus unless they are in near mint/ mint condition and appear unplayed but the description will state this. I don't sell records with deep scratches or marks that affect the sound quality and enjoyment.
All of our Vinyl is professionally cleaned using a Pro-Ject VC-S record cleaning machine.
The vinyl is then packaged in a protective anti static sleeve, the whole album placed into a protective outer plastic sleeve and then posted in a robust top of the range custom cardboard record mailer.
