Description
- John Lennon released his first solo studio album "Plastic Ono Band" in December 1970 on Apple Records. The album was co-produced by Phil Spector with a supporting cast of "Plastic Ono Band" members made up mostly of Lennon on a variety of instruments and an assist from Ringo Starr on drums, Klaus Voormann on bass, and Billy Preston on organ.
- This copy (SW-3372) is from the first pressing and is in excellent condition. It still has its original factory shrink wrap and along with the original lyrics inner sleeve easily grades VG+. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Bell Sound Studios and was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Los Angeles. The dead wax on Side 1 is etched SW-1-3372 Z10 and is stamped ? Bell Sound ??.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
- Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 50 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
