John Lennon released "Some Time In New York City" in September 1972 on Apple Records. This double album is actually two records. Disc One is by John & Yoko / Plastic Ono Band with Elephants Memory and Invisible Strings. Disc Two is billed on one side as a Live Jam with Frank Zappa and The Mothers Of Invention.

This copy (SVBB 3392) is from the first pressing and is in excellent condition. It still has its original factory shrink wrap and is easily VG+. Please see the pictures but note the photo of the interior gatefold is from another copy. Included are both original inner sleeves, a Statue Of Liberty postcard, and a copy of the "Justice For John & Yoko Petition."

This is a rare copy that includes the hand etching on Side 1 of Disc 1 "John and Yoko Forever Peace on Earth and Good Will to all Men '72." The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Sam Feldman at Bell Sound and was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Los Angeles. The Side 1 dead wax is also etched SVBB-1-3392 Z6 2 and stamped ? Bell Sound sf.

In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 48 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
