Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my rare Beatles, Beatles Related and Rolling Stones records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare UK 1st STEREO pressing of John Lennon & Yoko Ono – Unfinished Music No. 2: Life with the Lions on the ZAPPLE label, cat. no. ZAPPLE 01 dating from 1969.
The record is in EX condition; there are only a few non-sounding hairlines. The labels are in EX condition as well, there are only a few hairlines on each side.
The cover, laminated on both sides, is in VG++ condition; there is only some wear (feathering) on the opening edge on the front and three small creases on the back. Besides mentioned damage there is nothing wrong with the cover, no writing, no rips or tears or other unwanted damage. The record comes with a plain white “MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN” inner sleeve.
This is an extremely rare UK 1st pressing of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Life with the Lions album on the ZAPPLE label with the “SOLD IN U.K.” statement. All later copies do not have this statement and by the end of 1969, this record was deleted forever from the Apple / Zapple catalogue as the sales were damatically low. Further the condition of the record is wonderful, just how many are left in Excellent (or better) condition? This is a real must have for all John Lennon and Beatles fans and a unique opportunity to complete your life-time John Lennon and / or Beatles record collection! Happy Bidding!
