Sealed in loose shrink baggy. This is dead-stock from a long closed record store.
There is a 3.5” break to the loose shrink on the lower left spine, some light foxing to the fragile cover.
8 weeks on Billboard chart; highest position #124
On 11 Dec 1968 just after midnight, J&Y appeared live on the radio program "Night Ride" to promote Two Virgins, hosted by David Peel.
On 3 Jan 1969, Newark, NJ police seized 30,000 imported copies of Two Virgins, declaring the cover pornographic.
On 25 Jan 1969, Two Virgins was banned in both Union County, NJ and Cleveland, OH. Police in Monutainside, NJ seized 20,000 copies of the album.
Pressed and distributed through comedian Bill Cosby's Tetragrammaton Records in the US as a joint Apple/Tetragrammaton release after Capitol Records refused to release the album.
