Note: strong and collectible copy of one of the rarest Euro Jazz items, recorded 1956 in Paris, featuring Barney Wilen. A highlight in John Lewis' recording career outside the MJQ.

session on Pacific Jazz
Original issue with original cover art, different from the later US release on Atlantic and with far superior sound.
Condition
Cover: VG+
The thin flip back cover shows a few light wrinkles, one small spot of paper loss on front, and a bit of wear on the seams,
all quite mild and minor (see scans)
Otherwise and overall an unusually nice and shiny cover for this kind of fragile paper sleeve
NO seam splits, NO ring wear, NO creases,
NO folds, NO pin holes, NO other visible imperfections
Vinyl: VG+
Thick, glossy vinyl
The shiny surface shows a few hairlines and superficial marks
Audition: VG+
Occasional light crackle, never compromising the clarity and prominence of the music. Two or three ticks.
Otherwise beautiful and highly satisfying playback, warm and vibrant sound.

All gradings are based on thorough visual inspection and a full audition.
The standard scale applies (M*, NM, VG+, VG).
As a rule Near Mint (NM) is my highest grade.
* I don't believe in Mint (M) and will only use it in the exceptional case
where I'm sure to be dealing with an item from unplayed and untouched stock.
I don't offer anything below VG.
Return Policy

All records are removed from their art cover and housed in a heavy duty sleeve.
