Description
You are bidding for a CLASSIC UK 60'S ROCK 'N' POP 45 rpm single by JOHN LEYTON called TELL LAURA I LOVE HER backed with THUNDER AND LIGHTNING, issued on the HIS MASTERS VOICE record label in SCANDINAVIA in 1964, cat number X 8649. The record is in excellent condition with little wear with few surface scuffs and scratches and plays with no clicks and jumps and a minimum of surface noise. The labels are also excellent apart for a sticker stain on one side, as is the original paper picture sleeve . CLASSIC 60'S UK ROCK AND POP from JOHN LEYTON with his DEBUT single which failed to chart in the UK when originally isued in 1960, though it was better than the RICKY VALENCE track which topped the UK charts. This is a Danish pressing with a diffeent B-side to the original. JOHN LEYTON went on to become a massive pop star at the begining of the 60's with big hits, JOHNNY REMEMBER ME, WILD WIND, SON THIS IS SHE.. He continued having hits though not on such a massive scale until he was taken over by the BEAT AND BLUES BOOM when the groups took over, Not that he cared because he was already a Hollywood star by then, in films such as THE GREAT ESCAPE. A true JUKEBOX HERO. RARE and hard to find in decent condition, great for parties ,from my own collection.
