You are bidding for a CLASSIC UK ROCK 'N' ROLL 45 rpm single by JOHN LEYTON called TELL LAURA I LOVE HER, backed withGOODBYE TO TEENAGE LOVE issued on the TOP RANK record label in the UK in 1960, cat number JAR 426. The record is in excellent condition, the labels are also excellent apart from a stain on one side of the push out centre, CLASSIC JOHN LEYTON DEBUT single produced by JOE MEEK for RGM , it was a complete flop, though it is better than the version by RICKY VALENCE that topped the charts. An actor turned singer he later caused fan mania when JOHNNY REMEMBER ME became one of the fastest selling singles topping the charts after he sang the song and acted the role of a pop singer in one of televisions first soap opera series and his follow up singles SON THIS IS SHE and WILD WIND also topped the charts. Later he became a successful actor in Hollywood films once the hits dried up. still performing and selling out the halls today. RARE and great for parties and and hard to find in good condition, from my own collection
