This is an early solo from John Martyn, who had also recorded with his wife Beverley (the same who had dated Paul Simon and issued a couple of great 45s on Deram). I don't name drop Nick Drake lightly here, because around this period he had occasionally stayed with the Martyns - and apart from some influences they had shared, they were also under the wing of Joe Boyd's Witchseason productions.
Even more influential though was the superb bass musicianship from Danny Thompson, which maintains a lovely feel throughout this release.
Nick sadly passed away a year after this saw release, and John Martyn is no longer with us. 2 awesome talents gone too soon.
A record to 'feel at home with' here, as it has a calm mood, occasionally evoking a little nostalgia.
Happily in WONDERFUL condition, so no need to search for a reissue or cd when here's an investment original.
Condition;
The VINYL is NEAR MINT, top shine and playing beautifully.
The LABLES are clean bright NEAR MINT.
No pen, or stains.
The card GATEFOLD COVER is EXCELLENT
flat and firm, only signs of a small sticker removal at top right corner.
