Description
There are several ' First Pressings' ,i.e from the original first copy master tape of this John Martyn Solid Air album. This copy is a first of the first if you like . Hand-etched only matrix numbers 'A REACI ' or ' AREACH' ? stamped both sides and a heart etched on Side 2 run-off. There are no commonal-garden A1-U's / B1-U's etc !
JOHN MARTYN ' SOLID AIR' ALBUM on PINK- RIM ISLAND RECORDS catalogue number ILPS 9226 . Year of release 1973. HAND -ETCHED MATRICES Side A, ILPS 9226 A, with the tiniest 'AREACI' ( I think this finishes with an i. It may be a not quite firmly enough stamped 'H' , It is so small it's difficult to tell ) It is machine stamped with an even smaller italic 'a' etched above. Side B, HAND-ETCHED ILPS 9226 B and ditto the above.
GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS VG . General shelf and edge-wear . PLEASE SEE ALL 12 PHOTOGRAPHS SO YOU WILL KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GETTING. Original generic white inner.
VINYL IS EXCELLENT . Light hairline only. Graded in halogen Down - light. Beautiful original sheen . Please see photo.
