3ChordRecords is offering for sale a Excellent 1968 UK LP by John Martyn "The Tumbler" on Island Records.
Cat No. ILPS 9091
The LP is pressed on thick black vinyl and is in superb Excellent plus condition, the record retains much of the original sheen and even under bright light there are no scratches visible. The record playback is stunning with no unwanted noise between tracks, the album is quiet and delicate and the noise free playback makes this an absolute to listen to. The labels are near mint and have the pink rim confirming this as an early pressing. The record comes in a white pvc/paper inner sleeve. The original fully laminated picture sleeve is in Excellent (minus) condition, there is light laminate lift along the spine at the rear but this hasn't cracked and one or two very light creases. The glue has come away along the top and bottom edges but the sleeve is undamaged and just needs to be reglued. The spine is clean and fully readable, there are no tears or seam splits.
Overall a Stunning early press of this increasingly hard to find Folk LP. Bid with confidence.
