JOHN MAYALL "A HARD ROAD"
DECCA RECORDS FFSS STEREO cat# SKL.4853
FIRST PRESSING
**********************************************************
This was the original UK blue unboxed Decca ffss lable issue.
It's easy to appreciate John Mayall's bands still, as blues music is enduring, and it was a proving ground for musicians to go on to fame in their future endeavours.
After replacing the mercurial and much celebrated Eric Clapton, PETER GREEN joined on guitar. It's his fantastic guitarwork that's the real highlight here!
After this record he found Mayall moving to a jazzy sound, so he recruited John McVie and Mick Fleetwood to form the exceptional Fleetwood Mac.
Mayall was quite prolific in the record output, but also with the quality of the lps too. This lp is a very special album. Essential for fans of British blues!!
CONDITION;
The VINYL has top shine, grading EX, few light and superficial lines only.
Labels are EX.
The LAMINATED COVER is in VG shape. A couple of tears at the opening, a seam stressed at the spine. Some clear tape has been applied and I think some care will remove this.
Clean overall, despite these flaws.
An original copy of this collectible blues gem.
See photos.
