The 'Godfather of British Blues' would be an accurate title for John Mayall, who entered into the London thriving scene in the early sixties. Along with Alexis Korner, he helped develop and promote a burgeoning blues enthusiasm that had been ignited by the American legends coming to Europe in 'festival' couchloads every year - and they were greeted wholeheartedly!
Mike Vernon leapt at the opportunities to record them and their new protegés, but John Mayall was quick to keep the movement alive - as evidenced on this super-cool release "LIVE FROM KLOOKS KLEEK''.
This features future Manfred Mann and Fleetwood Mac founder members too.
An excellent and significant British blues album.
CONDITION;
The VINYL is in tremendous clean NEAR MINT condition. FULL sheen and playing superbly.
Maroon Labels with the large DECCA first issue 'ear' ffrr lables are in NM condition also bright and clean.
The LAMINATED-FRONT COVER is NEAR MINT- some light handling, but VERY nice shape, no writing, tears, or stains, lovely bright clean rear
