Description
This first John Mayall post blues breakers album (SKL4972) has the first unboxed blue Decca logo labels and is a first pressing on 155gm vinyl. The matrix numbers are ZAL-8532-1W and ZAL-8533-1W (with JT tax code on both run-offs).
The disc itself still has a high gloss. It has no surface marks other than a few paper scuffs. There is some light spindle marking on the labels and no hole wear. I would grade the vinyl as excellent. (Please see photographs for a better idea of record quality.)
The original poly inner sleeve is in excellent condition.
The original laminated, single fold over, gatefold outer sleeve “Printed in England by Robert Stace" is in excellent almost new condition. The spine is also excellent.
I bought the album from new and it has been kept upright in a custom built cupboard away from light and damp in virtually dust free conditions since then. It had minimal playings when bought and has been unplayed since - apart from the check I carried out recently prior to listing it on Ebay.
Sound quality is excellent for its age.
