JOHN MAYALL'S BLUESBREAKERS (with ERIC CLAPTON) - I'M YOUR WITCHDOCTOR b/w TELEPHONE BLUES - ORIGINAL 1965 7" SINGLE ON IMMEDIATE IM 012
THIS IS SO RARE! It reminds me of those nights in the smokey atmosphere of The Marquee (and once the Whiskey-A-GoGo across the road I recall) and the trance that we all went into when Clapton played 'Telephone Blues' - for me 'God' at his very best in those early blues days.
The vinyl is in very, very good condition indeed, with visible hairlines only. It is clean and bright and plays fantastically well, with minimal crackles. The labels are clean, but I did write my name on the 'B' side all those years ago - if ever I took it to parties (45 years have done few brain cells so I'm not sure!) then it's a miracle it has survived in this incredible condition!
The sleeve does look its age - yellowed Sellotape on one seam and the other split at the top - BUT IT IS THE ORIGINAL. See photos.
It grieves me to sell, but a massive downsizing move forces these hard decisions ...
