This is the UK 1st press of 'Looking Back' John Mayall. This scarce press is complete with the original blue unboxed Decca label, the earliest 2W/2W matrix and the very earliest 1/1 mothers and early H/C stampers. The record is also complete with the stereo decca polylined inner sleeve and laminated gatefold Clout & Baker sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has a superb bright gloss, with just a couple of small light marks. It sounds superb. On playing the sound is warm, rich and exceptionally clear. There are a couple of moments of noise but these are insignificant it sounds fantastic. The Decca label is a deep blue colour, it is completely clean and the silver is very bright. The text is sharp and there is NO spindle wear just a couple of spider marks. The record is complete with the original polylined inner sleeve in Excellent condition.
The laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The colour is bold, the white is bright and the laminate has a sensational shine. The edges are extremely firm, there is just the slightest feathering to the corners. On the inside the text and images are sharp and the card is still very clean with only the very light signs of age. The whole sleeve is still solid and the spine is firm with clear text.
