Description
I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers.
JOHN MAYALL
THE DIARY OF A BAND - Volume One.
ORIGINAL DECCA 1968 MONO UK LP - LK 4918.
The front cover was autographed by John Mayall, this is 100% the real deal.
From my late husbands rare collection.
Nice to find John Mayall's autograph on an original UK Decca 1960`s LP.
This could look great framed!
The Cover / VG- condition. The cover still looks fine, the back top corners have 2 small areas of Tipp-Ex that are seen in the pictures. The autograph is on the front of the cover and is nice and clear. The cover shows its age but for a rare autographed 1960`s cover it looks fine. Graded a strict VG- condition.
The Record / Good+ condition. I graded at just G+ condition as the record has light surface marks and the odd small mark that cause some ticks. The value is in the rare autographed cover. The disc still has its original gloss but is far from a perfect example.
The Labels / VG+ condition / A small pen mark on each side.

I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
Thanks for looking.
