Description
Here's a great copy of JOHN MAYALL'S LP CRUSADE. An OG 1967 pressing on the LONDON LABEL. CAT# PS529.
This is the Terre Haute plant pressing with the 1A/1D matrix numbers. It's a fantastic LP with Mick Taylor on guitar, just 2 years before he would help The Rolling Stones make some of their best LPs. It also features John McVie, who after this LP would join Fleetwood Mac. Mayall is, as always amazing. This is a beautifully clean and almost barely played copy. This copy was personally sent to the OG owner (a collection I purchased) along with a letter from the marketing person from London Records with an invitation to their performance at Cafe Au Go Go in Greenwich Village where they played from 1/9-1/21/67. Included in that invitation was a beautiful graphic handbill. The letter and the handbill are NOT included in this post, but it does show that this was a promotional copy. I am happy to share photos of those items with the buyer.
The cover is in VG+ condition, with the smallest amount of wear. The front cover is shiny with. nice gloss. The seams and spine are in VG++ condition. Very nice and sharp with a touch of toning on the spine. The back cover has a little toning, especially noticeable around the opening.
LP is NEAR MINT. Plays beautifully NEAR MINT. There is a very little amount of visual pressing from the inner. They are on the surface of the vinyl, not in the grooves, and do not affect the play at all. No spindle marks-- a great play.
OG INNER- Is in VG++ condition because of toning from age. This happens when the inner remains inside the cardboard cover.
