"OH BABY" - - "BIG" JOHN PATTON QUINTET - - BLUENOTE ST 84192 - - FANTASTIC COPY OF THIS SUPER FUNKY 1964 USA BLUE NOTE ORIGINAL LP !!! - - The jacket is stunning and but for VERY SLIGHT line of ageing to rear opening edge, witl grade a definite MINT!!! - - The disc is gleaming, with superb Blue/white labels bearing the NEW YORK USA address, complete with ear and Van Gelder in the dead wax !!! - - What an awesome lineup !!! - - Led by the masterful and exciting organ work of leader "Big" John Patton, he is supported brilliantly, by the great Blue Mitchell, tpt, Grant Green, guitar, Harold Vick, magnificent on tenor and the excellent drumming of Ben Dixon !!! - - Six great trax are the programme and include, Harold Vick's mega, "Night flight", which is in any mans laguage, to quote "Big" John himself, "A burner", drummer Ben Dixon's, "Fat Judy", a superb vehicle for the groups solo contributions upon which they certainly deliver, Patton's own, "Good Juice", plus 3 more awesome numbers, all originals by "Big" John himself"...........a superb rocking, funky , tender, exciting and at all times, JAZZ of the first order, with that in mind plus the fact it is a truly outstanding copy, this is not to be missed !!! - - Started as usual, with no reserve, many thanks for your interest and good luck !!! - - £19.99
