Description

You are bidding on an original test pressing of the 1970 LP by famed British Jazz legend JOHN SURMAN
This is the LP that was released in 1970 as
HOW MANY CLOUDS CAN YOU SEE?
DECCA SML-R 1045.
This is not a stock copy of the LP but a TEST PRESSING of the stereo issue.
The condition of the record is EX+ on both sides.
As you can see, however, from the photos the tracks have been written on each side of the record for identification. I do not know if this was by the record company or the previous owner.
The tracks are as follows
SIDE ONE
GALATA BRIDGE CARACTACUS PREMONITION
SIDE TWO
EVENT  HOW MANY CLOUDS CAN YOU SEE?
Please note that there is also a sheet from the copyright department included dated 8th July 1969 which gives details of the records from the producer to the matrix numbers.
The matrix numbers of this copy are
SIDE 1 ZAL 8980P-1W SIDE 2 ZAL 8979P-1W
As you may have noticed the Matrix number for side Two is lower than that for side one. This is because on the copyright sheet 8979P is listed as side 1 and 8980P as side two.
Please note that the LP comes in an original stock sleeve for the LP which has a photo of Surman on the front and 3 photos on the back as well as sleeve notes by Miles Kingston.  the LP. (which lists side 2 as side 1 and side 2 as side 1). This is only in VG+ at best as there is some yellowing in parts and dents in the corner etc.
Happy to answer any questions and I offer a full refund if not as described. Ship worldwide.
If successful, please wait for an invoice as this will be sent as a fully insured item with next day delivery in the UK and signed for in the rest of the world and again will be fully insured.
