Description
This listing is an opportunity to buy a fine copy of a famous 1950s’ cult rockabilly UK release in its original company sleeve. This song was written by the singer, Johnny Bachelor. It did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100 or in the UK so this is a rare record.
The conceptual arrangement was arguably inspired by other rockabilly styles of the 1950s. It is distinctive for its lack of conventional lyrics and has a twelve-bar blues chord progression and slap back echo adding to its appeal. The flip has an unusual “far away” doo-wop sound. Like many of his contemporaries, Johnny did not go on to have a significant career in music.
