Description
JOHNNY BURNETTE
"Rock Billy Boogie" b/w "If You Want It Enough"
1957 U.S. Original First Pressing | Coral Records – 9-61918 | 7" Single 45 RPM
The Quintessential Rockabilly Holy Grail
Recorded during Johnny Burnette's legendary prime, "Rock Billy Boogie" is widely revered as one of the rawest, most explosive rockabilly cuts of the 1950s. Offered here is an authentic 1957 original US first pressing on the classic deep-orange Coral label—not a contemporary reissue, repro, or bootleg.
Condition & Goldmine Grading
-
Vinyl (Visual): Retains brilliant, deep factory gloss and clean grooves. Under direct inspection light, minor superficial sleeve paper scuffs and faint hairlines are visible, consistent with careful handling over the past 65+ years, but nothing deep, feelable, or abusive.
-
Side A Label ("Rock Billy Boogie"): Exceptionally vibrant orange and black print, free of writing, tears, or heavy spindle trails.
-
Side B Label ("If You Want It Enough"): Clean with bright graphics, showing an authentic vintage rectangular white inventory sticker (labeled "32") cleanly affixed on the lower-right orange field, and faint adhesive ghosting on the lower-left edge. Authentic period jukebox/archive character.
-
Sleeve / Jacket: Originally issued in a plain factory paper sleeve without a commercial picture jacket. It will arrive housed in a brand new, archival-grade paper inner sleeve nestled inside a crystal-clear 4mil protective poly outer sleeve.
