Description
Audiophile, Music Lover, and Musician are apt ways describing this loved person who passed away. His record collection, including classical (in the most broad sense), opera, some jazz and popular, was meticulously cared for. The best turntables, styluses, and speakers were always used and brought current, as necessary. The records received attention (they were cleaned prior to and after each playing) that I thought was overdoing it at the time…now I know better, they were kept in beautiful shape…for their next owner, too.

Arranged and Conducted by Johnny Carisi, a 1960 Columbia Records stereo release. A jazz arrangement of Jerome Kern’s Show Boat.
The Guitar Choir includes Barry Galbraith, Jimmy Raney, Billy Bauer, Howard Collins and Allan Hanlon. They are joined by Bob Brookmeyer (Valve Trombone), Phil Woods (Alto Sax), John Carisi (Trumpet), Milt Hinton (Bass) and Osie Johnson (Drums).
