This hard to find 5 lp set has virtually everything he did for Sun, including quite a few alternate takes, and versions of previously released recordings that remove the often-distracting additional instruments and voices that were dubbed onto some of his later Sun sides. Some of the alternate takes may be rough going for those whose devotion to Cash is less than fanatical, but otherwise it's surprisingly consistent listening. Almost every track is worth hearing, and much of it is excellent, demonstrating that he had a good deal of fine early material besides the well-known hits. Comes with a full-sized 34 page booklet with lots of photos and mountainous liner notes by Hank Davis, Colin Escott, and Martin Hawkins.
