This record is in very good condition. It has spindle marks visible on the labels but no pen marks, scuffs, fading or any other damage. The centres are not loose or worn and overall the labels are clean, bright and in good shape, but with the spindle marks as mentioned.
As for the vinyl itself, there is nothing very deep or nasty evident but there is very light surface lines, sleeve scuffing and signs of age showing on both sides. These are light and cannot be felt but they are a clear sign of use and age. There is also two small marks on side 1 but these again cannot be felt. The light lines and marks clearly show under bright light so overall this vintage record is clearly used. It has nothing deep or nasty however and still has a nice lustre.
I play tested the record and it played well and although not 100% perfect in my opinion would overall grade as excellent audibly. It lays flat on the deck and upon playing there is little to no movement in the arm. The audio produced is very enjoyable and is free of any skips, sticks or loud hugely disruptive tics. There is no major surface noise audible in the audio but there was a little in the run in on both sides and between some tracks. I also noted that the small marks mentioned above on side 1 do cause some very 'thuds'. These occur in two separate 'vocal introductions' to tracks and are very soft. Overall these are the only real issue and the audio is still a very enjoyable listen and certainly grades as VG.
The sleeve is in very good condition. It has wear and creasing to the edges and corners but the writing along the spine is still legible. There are no splits anywhere and the sleeve is still solid enough. However there is clear signs of its age to each side with creasing, ring marks and some fading. The worst of the creasing is on the laminated front but there is also quite heavy creasing to the rear. There is ring marks showing to each side as I say and also light fading to the rear. So overall not a perfect sleeve but one that is still solid despite its imperfections. I have tried to describe the sleeve as best I can but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible as to its condition.
It contains its original CBS inner which is in very good condition. This has no tears or splits but has creasing, age related discolouring and a pen mark to one side.
