One of the nicest condition 78 records we have seen in a long time, by any artist. The record we are offering here is an original Memphis Sun pressing, and it’s a beauty.
CONDITION: We feel very comfortable calling this record NM. It retains most of its original glossy luster and has obviously been well cared for, rarely handled and rarely played. It appears to have always been stored inside a paper sleeve. Both record labels are exceptionally well preserved and we can see what looks like one or two light spindle markings on the “I Walk The Line” label and one very faint spindle mark on “Get Rhythm”. Like many 78s it has some very light pressing “warbling” if you look closely, which in no way will affect play. If the record was not so clean and in such nice shape this may not even be noticeable. The “I Walk The Line” side has one feather light surface mark, measuring about 1/4 inch. The “Get Rhythm” side has one small and light surface scratch, measuring less than 1/2 inch, which cannot be felt on the grooves. Our guess is this record has had less than a handful of total plays, and of course has no cracks or chips. This is about as nice condition as you are likely to find unless you run across an unplayed copy.
